picture perfect memories
15 FEB (MONDAY): HAMMIES
after dragging so long to name them, i have decided to name the boys georgie, happy (has a mark on its face. looks like eyebrow. hopefully by naming it happy it would be slightly happier), ian and jellybean (cause very fat).
i don't know about you but when i'm feeling down and alone, i always turn to my pets. they give me a slight tinge of happiness every time i'm around them, playing with them. they just seem to take my troubles and worries away.
fatty bom bom. must be jellybean.
honestly, i really like how the camera manages to capture them in such a wonderful manner. the colour, the whiskers, the fur. all the details captured and all true to real life.
17 FEB (WEDNESDAY): STEAMBOAT AT TINGUAN'S PLACE
gathering at tinguan's place to bai nian during cny and it was really awesome cause the food and the company was great.
23 (TUESDAY): A TRIP DOWN TO THE POLYCLINIC EARLY IN THE MORNING WITH A
this marks the first time i've been to a polyclinic. woke up really early and reached lot 1 at 7 plus in the morning. i only had 2 hours of sleep. ate macdonalds' breakfast deluxe (awesum possum) then A and i hit the road to polyclinic.
confession; i used to think that polyclinic is seriously not a great place to go when you are sick cause i thought the service there wouldn't be as good as private clinics. but i was proved wrong (okay, maybe got one young girl who spoiled the image - fuck her). it's actually a pretty nice place to go when you are sick and all. but definitely only if you have the patience cause of the queue.
after polyclinic, we went back to his place where i then fell asleep for 2 hours and we just slacked around and watched my sister's keeper in the living room. we cried together and it was so funny cause i was crying then A started to cry and he immediately gave me the tissue box. hahaha.
24 FEB (WEDNESDAY): BAKING AT SAM'S PLACE
you cannot imagine the pains i went through just to reach her place. but anyway, i never liked being in the kitchen to cook because i'm not much of a cook. so i basically tried to help in whatever i can like taking pictures. the cookies that we made tastes awesome if i might add. after baking, we just sat on the sofa, laughing while watching ninja warrior and wipe out. happy outing but i was probably too tired.
28 FEB (SUNDAY): WEBCAM WITH A
we attempted to stay up to reminisce the good times but failed at 4.40am. can you tell this boy that he looks like an arabic woman more than a ninja?
2 MARCH (TUESDAY): SISTERS OUTING
headed to junction 8 after charmaine was done with school to take passport photo which we had to wait 1 hour for and we spent the time sitting in macdonalds eating.
went to amk to do her ez link which she conveniently lost with her wallet a long time ago. then we went to buy her school shoes and some durian pancake to eat (my whole motive of accompanying her).
went back to junction 8 and decided to snip out hair at jean yip. we both have the similar hairstyle which is bob + bangs. I DO NOT HAVE A PHOTO OF IT YET. but don't laugh. i kind of like it cause it makes my face smaller and the bangs touches the tip of my eyes.
5 MARCH (FRIDAY): WARAKU WITH FAMILY
went to the central to have waraku for dinner with family. their current promotion's when you pay by DBS debit card, you get 50% voucher based on your dining receipt. and the voucher will be valid after the 14th of march.
after waraku, we settled down at some japanese ice cream place, azabu sabo for desserts. walked around clarke quey, bought a charm for melody (but she lost it the next day -.-) and went home.
7 FEB (SUNDAY): STEAMBOAT
grandma's place as usual but we had steamboat for dinner. it's a tradition that every time it's someone's birthday is arriving, there will be steamboat! cousin cut cake but i didn't eat cause i don't like the flavour :( but i took durian puffs as substitute. hahaha, isn't that much better than cake?
8 FEB (MONDAY): INTERVIEW AND ALICE IN WONDERLAND
i was selected for marina mandarin's scholarship so i just decided to try my luck if i could get in. A and i didn't set a time to meet cause i didn't know what time will the interview end so that boy reached woodlands around 2+ pm? but when he reached, it wasn't even my turn.
there were 6 interviewees (including me) and all weren't from DCRSM (4 candidates were selected for scholarship but none interested in it except me) which made me feel quite lonely. 3 were from DIEM and 2 were from DHHM. but they were all very friendly. hahaha they were all drawing on the white board to relieve stress. and every time someone came back from the interview room we would be asking what questions did the interviewers (director of human resources and executive assistant management of rooms division) ask. that was how nervous we all were.
i thought at some parts i kind of screwed it because there were times where i kept looking up and times where i was finding words to answer. but thank god, mine went really smoothly. personally, the questions asked weren't hard. i got a couple of goods and nods from both of the interviewers. and i made them laugh. i guess i made quite an impression. must be my charm ;)
done with interview and i hurried off to meet the boy who wasn't even angry that he waited so long and you guys should know how bitchy the weather is. watched the movie, bought slippers, walked around and parted. it was quite a long day for me.
9 FEB (TUESDAY): SECOND ROUND OF INTERVIEW
reached home check email and i received...
"Dear Cassendra,
I would wish to inform you that you have been shortlisted for the next round of interview. You will be meeting up with the General Manager, Marina Mandarin Hotel. I believe the hotel staff will contact you soon to schedule for this interview. I wish you all the best in your interview. Good luck."
wow. second round of interview. just when i thought the questions asked weren't hard. and this time round it's with the general manager. like what alan leong wished me; all the best and good luck.
pray for me?
